Lesson 1: Look at me (Copy)
In this lesson, Mattie uncovers the important tactics to remember when helping your child understand the correct ways to say certain sounds.
-
Lesson 2: Environmental Cues (Copy)
Relating a speech sound to a sound in our environment can be a helpful tool when teaching your child a sound.
Below are some environmental cue ideas for speech sounds.
-
Lesson 3: Minimal Pairs (Copy)
Minimal Pairs are designed for children who often struggle with phonological errors (they don’t have difficulty pronouncing the sound, but they do struggle with the sound rules in a word).
Below are some samples of minimal pairs, for common errors/substitutions we see. Start by saying each word and having your child point to the word you are saying, can they hear the difference between these words? If not, draw attention to the different sounds in the words and how it can change the meaning.
